My Homemade Bread
|Preperation <15mins, Prooving 2 hours, Cooking 40-50mins|
1Kg Organic White Strong Bread Flour (+ extra for dusting), 15g Salt, 2 x 5g sachets of dried yeast, 400ml organic milk & 200ml boiling water mixed together in a Jug, 2 tbl Organic Olive Oil, 1 Tsp Farm Honey, 1 2lb Loaf tin
Mix the flour, yeast and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the honey and olive oil to the milk/water jug and mix, then add to the flour, blend the mixture until for form a stick ball of dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-10 mins. Place the dough back in the mixing bowl and put the mixing bowl into a bin liner and cover for 1 hour at room temp (or until doubled in size).
Remove the from the bag/bowl and turn out onto a flour top again, gently knock the air back out of the dough. Cut away 2/3 of the dough and shape into roll that will fit into you bread tin. Divide the remaining into 4 or 5 pieces and shape into rounds. Dust the loaf and rolls and cover. Turn you oven onto full to heat up.
